SECTION 12 — Labs & Experimental Features

Labs features are on-device simulators that preview advanced automation.

1. SMS Intelligence Sandbox (Beta Simulator)

Purpose: Simulates automated receipt ingestion from SMS.
Action: Paste raw SMS text or choose templates.
Processing: The parser extracts the merchant, amount, payment method, category, and payment type, allowing you to approve and log the transaction with one tap.

2. OCR Receipt Scanner (Beta Simulator)

Purpose: Simulates receipt scanning.
Action: Choose a receipt template (e.g., Starbucks, DMart, Shell) and run a mock scan.
Processing: Simulates an OCR scan (camera grid and progress bar) and saves the parsed details to your pending approvals list on the dashboard.

3. Account Aggregator Sync (Beta Simulator)

Purpose: Simulates consent-based bank statement syncing.
Action: Select a bank (HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis), approve the data consent request, enter your phone number, and complete the verification using test OTP 482019.
Processing: Automatically links the simulated bank account and updates your balance.

SECTION 13 — Settings & Preferences

Customize the app to your preferences.

1. User Profile & Currency

Edit Name: Edit display name.
Currency Picker: Choose currency symbols and codes (₹ INR, $ USD, € EUR, £ GBP, ¥ JPY, د.إ AED, S$ SGD, A$ AUD).

2. Product Progress

Tracks streak, financial health score, completed goals, logged transactions, and total tracking days.

3. Themes & Presets

Toggle between dark and light modes.
Select a theme preset: Classic (Emerald), Gold, Ocean (Cyan), or Rose (Pink).

4. Settings Options

Notifications: Configure alert thresholds.
Financial Profile: Select your financial persona.
Active Ledger Profile: Select active ledger profile (Personal, Business, or Family).
Export Data: Share or save ledger data as a CSV.
Community: Share the app, refer friends, submit feedback, or rate the app.
Sign Out: Sign out and clear local data.

SECTION 14 — Notifications

Notifications alert you of important financial updates.

Notification Categories

💳 Transaction: Alerts for new logs, exports, or manual changes.
📊 Budget: Alerts when category spending exceeds 80% or 100% of limits.
🏆 Goal: Celebrates savings milestones (50%, 75%, 100%).
📈 Health: Weekly summaries of your financial health score and savings progress.
📱 Subscription: Alerts for upcoming bills and account deficit warnings.
🤝 Udhar: Reminders for pending debts and settlement logs.
📅 Monthly Review: Monthly summary alerts.
💡 Smart Nudge: Tips to optimize spending.

Notification Priorities

🔴 Critical: Budget overruns, deficit warnings, or late bills.
🟡 Important: Milestone updates or budget warnings.
🟢 Informational: Daily tips and general updates.

SECTION 17 — Privacy & Security

Data privacy is a core principle of Mera Paisaa.

1. Offline-First Architecture

The application runs entirely on your local device. Transaction logging, database calculations, and AI coaching do not require an active internet connection or external servers.

2. Local Database Storage (Hive)

Data is saved in secure local Hive boxes. The data is encrypted on the device, ensuring it remains inaccessible to other applications.

3. Firestore Sync Queue

When you log in with Google, remote database synchronization is activated. Local updates are queued in the sync_queue Hive box and uploaded to Firestore sequentially.

4. Financial Data Handling

Data Isolation: Guest profile data is stored entirely on the device.
Security Wipes: Signing out clears all local database boxes, ensuring no financial records remain on shared devices.
